My Top Ten Favorite Movies of 2017

2017 is finally over and what a year it was for film. I really liked a lot of movies this year and I didn’t even come close to seeing everything I wanted to see. My list was originally 16 but I managed to whittle it down to 10, which wasn’t easy. Without further adieu here is my top ten favorite movies of 2017.

This list is in no particular order but I will say Baby Driver was my favorite movie of the year. Obviously this is all just my opinion and you may disagree, which is cool if you do.

A remake/reboot/sequel that is actually better than the original and even more thought provoking. Probably the best looking movie of the year, visually wise.

9. Get Out

One of my favorite kinds of movie, a horror comedy written and directed by a guy who really gets comedy, Jordan Peele.

Unfortunately I didn’t end up doing a review for this one.

10. The Devil’s Candy

Most of you probably haven’t seen or heard of this movie. If you’re a horror or metal fan this is a must see. This movie likely flew under most people’s radar, it originally premiered in 2015 but wasn’t released until 2017 and that was only in select theaters and VoD. The Devil’s Candy is a horror movie with characters who do things that make sense and you’ll  actually care about them. Most importantly this movie is scary. Plus the soundtrack has the likes of Metallica on it.

Wish I had a review for it but I don’t.

Alright that’s it, see you next year.
